Wednesday 6.9.2010 - NJ Sports - Nets Get New Coach & Nebraska Rock Big 10, RU Next?
- A day after Steven Strasburg (no NJ connection) lights up the sports world, two major bits of news that will have lasting effects on the New Jersey Sports Scene for years to come. The New Jersey Nets are about to announce that they will name Avery Johnson, the NBA all time leading in coaching winning percentage as their new coach. He is a great choice and well liked by players and fans league wide. His addition should unlike the door along with new owner Mikhail Prokhorov's billions some of the best free agents in this years free agent class.
- The second major "unofficially" announced sports news of the day is that the University of Nebraska will be leaving the Big 12 to join the Big 10. While many might have no idea why this has anything to do with New Jersey, those of you in the know... know that this is the first domino to fall in major conference realignment. In the end Rutgers will likely join with Nebraska, Missouri, Notre Dame and either Pittsburgh or Syracuse in the new Mega-Big 10 (16) for 2112 or 2113. Look for an upcoming major blog on the future of all the conferences, we think we got it all figured out.

Wednesday 5.26.2010 - TMZ Reports: 7-10 Cops to Protect "Jersey Shore" This Summer!
- According to TMZ, MTV is looking to have no bad situations in Seaside Heights this summer, just "The Situation". MTV is planning on using 7-10 police officers and private security to keep control over the ridiculously popular Jersey Shore cast as they return to New Jersey to film the final parts of season 2. For the original shoot, MTV only used one police officer. This season the cast will be followed 24/7 while in New Jersey. - Jersey Shore Page
Wednesday 5.26.2010 - Renovation of MSG to Begin Soon, Phases to be Done By 2113.
- Now that plans for a complete new Madison Square Garden have been scrap. MSG has announced renovations for the existing complex. The plan is to be move the New York Liberty out of MSG for the next 3 years and to do the renovation in phases between Rangers/Knicks season.

Tuesday 5.25.2010 - Can We Not Take Credit For This Guy? Seriously?
- A 21-year-old New Jersey man pleaded guilty Tuesday to vomiting on another spectator and his 11-year-old daughter in the stands during a Philadelphia Phillies game. Matthew Clemmens, of Cherry Hill, NJ, pleaded guilty to one count each of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment for his conduct during an April 14th Phillies-Nationals game at Citizens Bank Park.

- Ok it's the Monday before the official start of the Jersey Shore season, but we are happy to announce (as of right now) the weather forecast for the upcoming holiday weekend is looking very nice! Friday is calling for highs around 82, while the rest of the long weekend is calling for sunny and highs from 72-75 degrees. Let keep our fingers cross and get ready for our pilgrimage down the Garden State Parkway for another great summer!

Despite winding down the 2009-10 NBA season with the 2nd worst record ever, our lovable losers, could catch at break in tonight's NBA Draft Lottery. Despite having the best odds of winning the lottery and landing defacto #1 pick John Wall, we ended up getting the 3rd overall pick. Our buddies the 76ers landed the #2 pick and Washington ended up getting the #1 overall pick.  - We have been forced to watch commercials for Sonic for at least the last 2 1/2 years with not a single Sonic to be found any where in the Garden State. Well that all changes today when Sonic - Waretown opens on Route 9 about 10 miles South of Toms River. - Michael Coppola is a guitar student of Musician Vince Genella who is organizing a benefit concert to raise money to assist the family with medical bills and to spread some positive vibes their way. Michael was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia or AML on May 19th 2007. Since then Michael has been through quite a lot. He has had a bone marrow transplant and has only been home from the hospital 2 weeks of the summer.

Friday August 24, 2007 - Well NJ here we are and NJMAX.com is finally launching - we are in week two of the pre-launch phase! It has been a while since the original idea to create a site that will bring together all the things that make New Jersey great and fun and crazy all at the same time. Obviously if you stop by @ this moment in time, you will see just the shell of the new look. There is a ton of content coming and coming quick. This is the new look [first look for most people - as the old version never got a launch]. We have finalized main navigation and the advertising layout and think it will be a nice balance of content with useful advertising - the necessary evil for any website. Unlike many site that launch finished, we are building out live. It help by letting the public and our fans see what it takes to build a site like this and starts to build Google and Yahoo links [which help drive traffic] and demos the site for potential advertisers and partner affiliates - and quite frankly the site is going to be so large and diverse it will never be complete done! So here we go ready or not!

Tuesday was busy behind the scenes - working with future advertisers and continuing to build the backbone of the site and getting a little sleep. Not a lot new to look at today, but we are busy - trust that!

We have been busy today starting to put together some relationships with larger advertisers and also showing independent restaurant, bars and clubs what we will do for you for FREE! The link below to the Green Knoll Grille in Bridgewater is a prime example. If you click onto the link it will take you to a page made just for them with info and a map and a link to their website and MySpace page - ALL FOR FREE! All we ask, if you can, is link us on your site or "when we are ready" - let your MySpace friends or mailing list know about NJMAX.com. Down the road we ask for something for priority ads, but only once we clearly establish our market presence and have proven our marketing viability. We also clearly build site and do full service graphic design, so if you need that kind of work as well, we'd love to work with you!

Sunday was mostly an off day here at NJMAX. Only a couple of new pages and neither is close to finished, but as ICONS of New Jersey they needed to be in.

Ok we are busy today getting a lot of the grunt work done today. If this site is to be useful to you we need the information and we are compiling information from a lot of sources on the Internet. Once we get all the info in we will confirm that it is up to date and start adding additional information
